How to Play

Each side starts with 12 pieces on the dark squares. Pieces slide one square diagonally forward — and capture by jumping over an adjacent enemy piece into the empty square beyond. If another jump is available after you land, keep going: multi-captures can clear several pieces in one turn.

Reach the far row and your piece is crowned a king, gaining the power to move and jump backwards as well. You win by capturing every enemy piece or leaving your opponent with no legal move.

Tips & Strategy

Control the center, where pieces have the most jumping options, and don’t rush your back row forward — those four pieces block enemy kings from being crowned. When you’re ahead in material, trade piece-for-piece to simplify toward a won endgame. And before every move, check what jump you might be handing your opponent: in checkers, captures are compulsory opportunities.
