How to Play

Fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column and every 3×3 box contains the digits 1 through 9 exactly once. Select a cell with a click, a tap or the arrow keys, then type or tap a number to place it. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and the timer tracks your solve from the first move.

Toggle Notes (or press N) to pencil in candidate digits, press Backspace to erase, H for a hint, and Ctrl+Z to undo. Leave Check on to have mistakes flagged as you go, or turn it off for a purist solve. Difficulty ranges from Easy, ideal for learning the ropes, to Expert grids that demand advanced technique.

Tips & Strategy

Start by scanning each 3×3 box for digits that can only fit in one cell — these “hidden singles” unlock the early grid. When you run out of easy placements, switch to notes and look for cells with only two candidates, matched pairs that eliminate options elsewhere, and rows where a digit is confined to a single box. On Expert puzzles, patience beats guessing: one careful chain of eliminations is worth ten hopeful entries.
